Yes, $3500 units aren't selling, even from reputable vendors and with 
warranties.

Street price for private sales appears to be $3200.

You know, I'm kind of thinking / predicting / hoping:

- there will be warrantied M8's for sale at $2750 at Dec 2008/ Jan 2009, 
from reputable dealers
- there'll be $2000 / $2500 M8's selling without warranty at that time
- the stock markets will recover to levels equivalent to a couple years 
ago, by then too

Maybe by Q1-2009, I'll be back into an M8. 

That's why I'm not buying back into an RD1 for now.  I'll shoot film 
this fall/winter, and watch the continuing plummet of M8 prices, then 
buy back in when they reach "RD1" prices.
