A (rough) million images in roughly 30 years ( since 1980) is 30,000 shutter clicks a year. 1,000 rolls of film a year. $25K in film + developing a year. No wonder you bought an M8... or 2...... it was cheap! Frank Filippone red735i@earthlink.net Yes, there's lots I don't digitize. Anything out of focus or badly under or over exposed. But after many, many years, I make fewer of those mistakes. I'm also my own worst editor. I keep lots of stuff that I should throw away, thinking that someday I'll find time to work on it or some software will come out that will make it useable. Putting a slide or negative in the round file or deleting a digital file is permanent, so I keep most of them :-( My house burned to the ground in 1980 and I lost everything except photos that I had given to friends and families. I've become something of a pack rat since then and keep EVERYTHING!! Tina
