The world -has- changed with the death of this purveyor of extreme views and the politics of hate and exclusion. Inertia is such that the change will be slow, but the loss of one influential bigot is a good thing for the future of the world. Sadly there are still rather a lot of them left, and as long as there are ignorant/deliberately ill-educated people about that this sort of person can influence, we are all vulnerable. The most dangerous thing in the world is ignorance, it leaves the way free to whip up political and religious extremism. He may be a product of his upbringing and education, all that means is that he has a bad upbringing. IMHO of course.
