Watch out for those younger specimens, Ken. They hang around your place for
at least 18 yrs and cost a fortune to feed and house.
As they mature, you can identify this sub-species, teengirlius emo
spoiltius, by its plaintive cry 'whatever'.

Seems we are in the middle of a migration of monarch butterflies, to Mexico
(I didn't know they migrated -- if I ever thought about it I just assumed
they dropped dead or something).  I didn't see any butterflies, though we
have jillions of them in our garden now.  I did see these:
