Marc, you sound like a constitutional kinda guy. In my sortid past, I
used to pull pints and sling gin at a Capitol Hill Irish saloon ("An
airplane hangar with personality"/"Give me your thirsty, your
famished, your befuddled masses").
DC is a popular place to demonstrate. It's also a place run on other
people's money and liquor; lots of both. Left and Right wing
demonstrators had one thing in common: assemble, state one's views,
and retire to a nearby bar to drink your face off. Oddly in company of
opposing views. Ted Kennedy and Joe McCarthy were notorious lushes.
What a country!
The First Amendment meets the Twenty-first. Good for the tip jar and
the house.
