At A4/Letter size you cant tell the difference between various digital cameras at all, even through a loupe - the difference between 35mm and larger format sizes (MF/LF) on film is readily apparent. I have not seen any examples of MF digital, so I cant comment on that. Therefore I go back and say that each design has its place and function, and that is the rationale for acquiring it.
