Hi Luis,

Very nice photos and a very good comparison of not only the different
lenses but also the different films.

My two favorite photos are the ones you took with the M6 and Rigid
Summicron, one of my favorite lenses. Plus who can resist the cute
senorita ordering juice at the window.

Now this is where you made me work.
First the Summaron and APX100 photos are the best. They are very
detailed and smooth. I expect this from this combination.

Next is the TX photos. A very good combination as well.

Now you made me work. I thought the Plus-X and Elmar photos were a
little soft. So I got out my 58 year old 90 Elmar, put on a M adapter
and shot some photos outdoors with my M8. I took the exact same
photos with my current 90mm f4 macro-Elmar, a very sharp lens. At f4
the macro-Elmar has a little more contrast. I would say the
difference is like printing a photo on #2 versus #3 paper. At f8 it
is very difficult to tell the difference between the two lenses. My
9cm Elmar is like a new lens. The glass is coated and has no cleaning
marks or haze.

So the difference is the film. I don't think Plus-X can stand up to
either the APX100 or TX. But Plus-X has it's place. You can give a
period look to your photos the same way you can with different
lenses. This is a very interesting study. Thanks for sharing with us.

Best Regards,
Len
