I have a Canon G9 and I have to say that it has one incredibly
disappointing "feature": the polarization of the view screen is
shifted 90 degrees compared to just about every other digital camera
I've used. The result: wearing my polaroid glasses the screen is
utterly black unless rotated 90 degrees. My M8, Canon 1Ds MK II, Fuji,
Panasconic and Canon D30 all work great with polarized sunglasses but
not so the G9.

Just plain bad engineering.
