Simon,

Many of them are charming as-is.  The light is what it is, you can't make it 
perfect. I suspect many of them can be finished up by judicious cropping. 
Save the heavy work for a chosen few, and save the RAW images in case she 
wants special treatment of an image that you did not process in detail.
