[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]having a big nikon film body and a big 35-70mm (I only brought one lens) made me extremely conspicuous. when I took this shot: http://www.ricecracker.net/ireland.php?type=photo§ion=ireland&page=2&pho to=19 I became the whole focus of that intersection. the crossing guard was laughing, the kids stopped in the middle of the street and started mugging and people in the cars stopped at the light were asking me who I was shooting for. even with tourist with their DSLRs, I stood out with the F5. I believe that with my M6, I could have been much more discreet and less visible. that was the downside. the upside was a shot like this: http://www.ricecracker.net/ireland.php?type=photo§ion=ireland&page=1&pho to=24 in just a few seconds, I was able to shoot six frames of this gentlemen with multiple focal lengths going wide and then tight, shallow and then deep depth of field. so maybe it was a trade off but the entire time I really really missed having my M6 in my hand. it was a great test as I no longer have any doubts as to the value the M6 adds to my work. doug On 7/24/08 9:03 AM, "Frank Filippone" <red735i@earthlink.net> wrote: > Very nice shots.... > > But back to YOUR question...
