Subject: [Leica] M8 sensor cleaning

I had to give mine a "scrubbing" in Rome. It seemed fine and has since been
checked by Leica. I was careful, but after a few hours of working at it, I
perhaps was less tentative than when I started ;-) Not to say, I'm not still
a little nervous, and prefer not to touch it directly.

Cheers

Has anyone ever actually managed to damage an M8 sensor while wet cleaning
it? How much did it cost to fix?

***Please - this is not a question of what system is best at cleaning the
sensor; the issue is what would happen if an undetected silica particle got
caught in or under a wet cleaner.

Thanks
