I'm never without a camera.
I would rather carry it without ever using it; than to "see" a
photograph and not be able to capture it; which i find the most
frustrating of experiences.
For a number of years I tried various point and shoot cameras in my
pocket.
Then I'd look at the negatives under a loupe or the digital files on
the computer and end up thinking, "you may as well as never made that
exposure." The quality just wasn't there.
The one exception - the Olympus XA - sweetest pocket camera ever made.
A close second was the Contax T - but it had some shutter reliability
issues.
After all were tried and found lacking - the Leica M remains the
smallest, reliable, precision tool to carry and which is, with proper
technique, also capable of extraordinary image quality (for me - YMMV).

I have no doubt that I'd fall in love with a IIIF - simply an affair
I choose not pursue.

Fond regards,
George
