Steve & Mark,

if you refer to the slant/lopsided artefacts displayed there, they're 
simply not vertical and the platform had to be reinforced where they 
stand - that's steel (80 tons each I think) standing on their thinner 
edges - driving a nail home is the simile. But of course there's some 
distortion  on top.
