CCD or CMOS is NOT your choice.  Maker A offers sensor A in technology A.
Maker offers sensor B in technology B.

This is NOT mix and match.  You do not know the tradeoffs, can not use the
tradeoffs even if you did know them, and otherwise are wasting your time in
analyzing what those tradeoffs of sensor technology are.  You can only
evaluate completed cameras.

And you have NO SAY in the decision, other than your pocketbook.

Does Canon or Nikon make a 24x36 ccd sensor camera?
or only c-mos?
