That works too.  Whatever the actual dimensions turn out to be, my guess is
that the full sensor is proportioned to a common print size so that there
would be significantly more pixels at work for this proportion vs. the same
proportions cropped from a 24mm x 36mm sensor area.  Still 100% speculation
on my part.
