Forgive a selective quotation but this is exactly my point. For a  
casual shooter that's a short life span. I am not interested in the  
upgrades per-ca just the fact that because it would be upgradeable  
means it will also be repairable as well. So I was ready to buy an M8  
when they announced the upgrade program. Now that Leica has to a  
certain extent renounced the upgrade program, I am going to wait for  
clarification, hopefully positive, or until I can"t get chrome anymore.
