I think if Leica came out with an M-without-controversy body and full frame
it would sell like hotcakes and the issue of surviving M8's in a room in the
catacombs would not be in mind.
Perhaps just an issue of Just slightly less than happy M8 owners.

I think a Leica made by Leica 1.5 crop circle or full frame DSLR would also
fly out their door so fast they'd not know what to do with all the money
flying in.
They'd need a revolving door with a red dot on it.
And a guy who can make change fast.
Not mentioning any names but his initials might be
Dr. Andreas Kaufmann of Salzburg.
