There are two models of the Elmarit-R 2.8/135mm. The first used series
7 filters and the later E55 filters. The change over took place in
1968 with the second having serial numbers 2,193,701 and up. They were
developed alongside the matching M lenses and are good performers, but
the 135 was not very popular with R users - the focal length been
squeezed between the 90s and 180s. I have been happy with the results
from mine but I find I use the 180 much more. The price of 230$ looks
good to me if it is in good condition and a 3-cam lens and a fair
price if it is 1-cam or 2-cam.
