Hi Len,

I realize that I like very much the atmosphere with the old lenses, maybe
our common friend Hoppy is right, I like the results with "deffective
lenses", the atmosphere is someting special. IMHO, if this lens was mine I
would keep as it is, you already have modern lenses for perfect
performances.

Since the question regarding an uncoated Summar came up and I was playing
with IR, I decided to combine the two.

First off my Summar isn't that great. It has a little haze which I'm
planning to get cleaned up one of these days but the glass is free of
cleaning marks. No coating to scratch I guess.

I'm pretty surprised that it does OK for IR. It's a pretty low contrast
lens.
