Phil

I have one of these mounted on a Nikon D80 and it has proved a very
useful combination for my personal social photography in often low
available light. Using apertures 1.4 and 2 with iso 800 gives good
results for this type of photography. As you may expect it does not
compete with the Leica M 50 1.4 ASPH for sharpness but for social
photography and portraits of ladies and children you can have too much
sharpness. While chunky for a standard lens the combination with the
D80 is fairly compact. I purposedly went for the combination as a
digital companion to a Leica with a standard lens; trying the
combination in the shop confirmed that the physical feel was
acceptable.

I can note as an aside I used this set up at my daughter's Christmas
meal as a backup to my M7 + Summilux; fortunately I had charged the
D80 battery as I had left my M7 switched on and the battieres were
flat!
