Will be going for your Amsterdam gallery later, hope not to forget later to be back to you with comments, but I'm not very a good guy at that, I hope you understand it. But I'll try to get better. Promise. As for monitors, calibration and the likes, this is so much already discussed in so many many lists that I wouldn't even bother. You just get it calibrated for whatever your main process is about, printing, making jpegs for the web... whatever, and just stay cool. In other words, it's good what it works better for you and understandable if that doesn't work for others. Now if you were so kind to give a link to your Amsterdam gallery I'll appreciate it... And as for spending money on more glasses, what can I say ?
