This is the same general question that quietly came and went with the 
discussion of the new TMax film.  In both the M cameras and in my R-D1 I am 
shooting color (film or raw) and then doing B&W as part of the 
post-processing.  There are very persuasive (to me, at least) reasons to go 
that way, some purely practical and others technical.

Think of it as the ultimate development in panchromatic B&W??? ;-)
