Philippe, I agree that his talent should have been noticed earlier, but here
in the UK 'the arts' almost count for nothing where education is concerned.
Making a living as a mobile phone salesman is probably seen as preferable. I
can well imagine that someone with a raw voice such as his would be
embarrassed by it. Silly I know, but that's the way things are now.
