It creeps all over, and coats optics. I understand places like NASA, and any subcontractor of optics for NASA, etc, bans the material from their labs. Suggestions: - RTV potting compound, but may need a primer. That might have been Leica's choice. - epoxy: household epoxy dries somewhat pliable; you don't want to stress the glass, only hold it in place - Gorilla glue: http://gorillaglue.com/home/gorilla-glue/product-detail.aspx The adhering surfaces must be absolutley clean.
