I think because of the amount of metal. Those guys must have the largest collection of deadly fingernail clippers in the universe, I'm sure. Last time I flew I completely forgot that I had a set of darts in the front pocket of my camera bag after playing some games with my nephews previously. Somehow or other these three slim tungsten bodied darts with metal stems and needle points were completely missed when they re-scanned my camera bag! Lucky for my future darts scores. Still so far locally, they have never fried my exposed film.
