They (Leica image files) truly do contain astonishing amounts of
visual information; most especially in the highlights and shadows.

Because the DMR is in the NJ Leica hospital I had to take the 20D and
5D on vacation with me last week. And while they delivered some OK
images. Their RAW files simply don't stand up to Leica's. I actually
wish it were not true. I'd love to be able to achieve the dynamic
range, usable shadow and highlight information, and micro detail with
less expensive gear. Yet, alas, it seems not possible. When the DMR
returns - the Canons will be sold. I may keep the 20D with the 10-22
just because it's it's a nice light weight P&S with unique wide angle
capability.
