Open it in PS (any version) and select Hue/Saturation adjustment - select green in the top field - take the eyedropper at the bottom left and pick the green background - shift the saturation slider all the way left. Voila! the wonderfully steely blue and chrome effect is kept against a greyscale background - takes about 30 seconds and IMO looks not bad at all.
