(Exceptions for extremely large format and true artists in the darkroom). Second, I am around and use top of the line digital cameras from brand N and C on a daily basis. My M8 produces a better image than anything except the 1DsMkII currently available. You might choose brand C for the excellent long telephoto's and better high ISO performance. You might choose brand N for some excellent wide angle lenses or very capable flash integration depending on your photography and clients needs. So, no apology for my M8. It performs very well indeed in the situations that I shoot in, better than my other choices of which I have many at hand. YMMV.
