I sat on a stool, kept my eye to the viewfinder and my finger on the 
shutter, 
and turned my body for each shot. Because this was a seacoast shot I was 
able 
to use the horizon line to make sure the camera was approximately level for 
each shot.

Having the images be only an approximate match meant that I couldn't use any 
of the automatic photostitch features, but manual photostitch, though 
tedious, works just fine.
