Is the raised foot a common behaviour or just a transient moment? Cheers Hoppy -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+hoppyman=bigpond.net.au@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+hoppyman=bigpond.net.au@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Douglas Herr Sent: Monday, 9 July 2007 06:23 To: lug@leica-users.org; LEG; LeicaReflex Subject: [Leica] IMG: California Quail Last week I was gently reminded by a friend that the triathlon I'd planned to enter in a couple of weeks (www.thegreatrace.org) involves more than just running and that I ought to train for the bicycle and kayak legs of the race as well.. so early Saturday morning I took the bicyle for a long ride around a nearby lake, and along the way I spotted a family of California Quail that seemed unusually tolerant of the people passing by on the trail. Returning this morning, this time with camera & Telyt I managed a few photos, the best of which is at http://wildlightphoto.com/birds/odontophoridae/caqu03.html Technical stuff: R8/DMR @ ISO 400, 1/2000 sec @ f/6.8, 560mm f/6.8 with UET-R extension tube, shoulder stock & monopod. As usual, all comments are welcome. Doug Herr Birdman of Sacramento http://www.wildlightphoto.com _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
