In fact I was using guesstimated zone focusing and shooting with the  
camera at mid thigh, arms length away from eye. 28 wide open on the  
DMR. So I was happy to have the focus as-close-to-on as I did.  
Whenever I put the camera up to my face she seems to "pose." So it  
was a delicate balance to allow her to continue her absorption in the  
flora and not distract her with my camera machinations.
