Film-based Leicas always allowed me to take very minimal shots of performers lit in pure black. I was worried that the M8 would not allow this - at least as well as film did - I was wrong. It performed like a champ. These are from a show from a U.K. band called "The Clientele". Not particularly original photos, but I do love doing these kinda of shots.
