The camera is due for next week tuesday , but I already downloaded the 220+ pages manual and discovered that there was a whole new bunch of things that I didn't know about. I hope I'll once master them. And untill then: full auto- or wide open and let all the rest follow mode, ofcourse :-) BTW: I really was convinced that there would be only a minority using Nikon on this list. But seeing about 6 responses, it must be a majority! Normally I get only about 3 :-) Only Leica and Canon folks here, I thought! ( Except for Mark Rabiner, who already has given numerous times valuable info on about every camera and lens out there that I ever dreamt or never heard of.) And about Canon: I just got the 5D that i rented for this for this weekend, with the 16-35/2.8L first version (don't ask why: too long a story). I have been playing around with it the last hour and boy, is this thing heavy! The difference between a DSLR and an M, sadly enough. But there is no alternative ATM. Really a shame that Leica didn't turn up with a digital solution that would have really convinced ALL of us from the start. I wouldn't have minded one second about the 1000 EUR prize difference with its competitors. But honestly, I just don't have that feeling of nothing being better than the M8. Which I definitely had with all its predecessors. Philippe
