I rarely have a problem with flare as I abhor sunny days for shooting (and try to stick to the shade instead). A recent paw was with one: http://www.dlridings.com/paw2007/15.html I seem to have a good sample. It doesn't flare much at all, unless I point it straight at a strong light source.
