Knobs falling off? What knobs? My M8 doesn't have any knobs. Can you
explain?

Color balance problems

Um.. I forgot to change from Tungsten setting to Daylight the other day,
and the picture was terribly blue. But I was able to fix it in a few
keystrokes with PhotoShop. Most of the time the AWB is pretty good, but I
don't rely on it any more than I do on my Pentax K10D.

I come from a Video background, and the best awb is manual.

, magenta, no clue where the corrective IR filters are,

Yeah, that's a bummer. I found them at popflash. I have several lenses,
and I was only offered the two from Leica. I had the two I needed before
the camera arrived

Here's the funny part. I've been using an Epson R-D1s for the last week and

OK. As I've said before, all cameras have quirks. Have you had any success
with the M8?
Since you never posted before, I was suspicious of this post in the
beginning.

Leica is great for film but they're never getting me back as a digital

Good, a used M8 will be on the market.
