I reinstalled the latest firmware upgrade, but no help there. Where the heck
is the reset button?

NO and its a decided worry: Think an M6 better come to Rome after  
all!!!1

Cheers and good luck: I think the battery plan is a good one as well,  
try "reset" as well and make sure you have the latest firmware. 1.09  
was VERY FLAKY ON MY M8
