I broke my right hand 3 years ago, right handed as well. The cast went up to my elbow. No photography the whole time the cast was on. I'm afraid film M's are out of the question without a motor drive. But with the M8 you have a chance. A pistol grip with built in trigger and cable release. Put on a 28mm lens set to f8 or so, ISO 640 and the focus set midway somewhere. Then the challenge becomes a game. You could even graduate to a 35mm after you master the 28 and so on. So don't give up. You can do it. At least you have someone that can write checks for you. For me that was the hardest part. Good luck.
