Meaning, don't fixate on a particular camera or lens. There are a lot of LTM cameras out there and a lot of very good lenses. Wait until a good sounding one comes your way. Heck, I've picked up several III's with good Summitars for about $100. Yes, I needed to spend for a CLA but you will do this anyway on a fifty year old body and or lens. As to lenses, Summitars are very good, many of the Ukranian Jupitars can be very good and while rare I have picked up Summicrons for about $100. Just don't decide that you have to have a IIIf BD and a rigid Summicron; let the camera come to you. Heck, if a Ukrainian Contax came your way and was working take it. These old beasts have a look all there own and are worth owning and using for that certain look. Of course, as part of the fairness doctrine, if B.D. were still active flare, spherical aberration, coma, and poor exposure are the cause of the "look". On 4/26/07, J.
