Subject: [Leica] M8 battery life

Has anyone found the M8 battery to be very short-lived between
charges? I haven't figured all the details yet. However, I have
been getting around 30 shots per charge which is clearly
insufficient. It seems to me that when I download photos to my
computer, the battery takes a major hit. Anyone have any ideas? I
have written my camera dealer about it and he is checking with Leica.
