Alastair, if our paths cross at some point you can try the 50 asph coded 
version on your 8! From stuff I've seen posted here by
others this is looking like an awfully attractive low light short tele on 
the digitals.

With the time it takes to get the lens home and the cost, I suspect any more 
"coding" I do will be with the felt pen/nail polish
technique as well. It is really only the 21 I need to think about anyway
