At infinity, the purple fringing was so bad, all of the telephone and power lines in the image were bright purple. I thought the M8 would bring out the best in every lens but, of course, it brings out *everything* in a lens, good and bad. DAS I have an body that did that with only one lens. Other bodies were fine. Eventually had to send it back with the offending lens for repair. Fine now. I am glad most are happy with their M8s. The IR bit is an absolute deal killer for me. Even using the required IR filters isn't enough. Leica also has to use software fixes to correct problems that the filters cause. That is getting a bit rich in my book. John Collier On 6-Apr-07, at 10:54 PM, Dante Stella wrote: > > Ok. Symptoms: lens hard to mount and unmount (stiff in turning the > lens in the mount).
