However, my read of both lenses' specs is that they are very well corrected, contrasty, accurate and flat of field, most especially on the APSC size sensor. I can see your case for using the 50 on the D200. I was only thinking as a film camera user. Can't fault you for lusting after the primes, either. Go ahead and buy one, I'm looking forward to seeing your results.
