Hi Jack,
Can't help you with comments on the 90 as I haven't tried one but  
those CV lenses I have tried I consider to be good value. I did not  
find the Nokton to lack sharpness wide open or the be flare prone. I  
did find the boke ugly which, in a fast lens used wide open often, is  
unforgivable. Often most of the frame is OOF so one does not want it  
to be distracting. I ended up with a 50 f1.4 Leica used in good  
condition which gives MUCH better results in practice.
