There's also "size inflation" at work inside the US. What 30 years ago
(my wife says) was a size 14 is now a size 12 or even 10 (at stores
like Neiman Marcus or some of the more upscale clothing vendors.) She
was thrilled to by a skirt "and it's an EIGHT!!!!!!!" at a Ralph
Lauren outlet store and while it looks wonderful it's really a 10 and
she knows it....but loves the idea of being even remotely an 8. She
earned the right to that experience so I want it understood this is
just an observation.
