you mean like the Fuji WA P&S or the Xpan? Logical and good but less  
easy to do on a manual advance camera where the existing mechanism is  
already designed, proven and tooled for. In order to keep the  
mechanism simple and the wind on on the right the whole unit would  
have to be redesigned.
