I have a non-compliant dean at the college who refuses to give up his "Wednesday Night All You Can Eat Boiled Crabs", so he gets to have 100 cochicine per month along with about 30 Allopurinal each month. When he renews his prescription each month, he gives me whatever was left over from the previous month. Unfortunately, colchicine gives me the the serious trots. As a former New Englander, I feel your pain. Take .6 mg colchicine a day and eat all the shrimp and lobster you want. Not that you can get real lobster down where you are. Double the dose if you feel a twinge of gout coming on. Otherwise take pleasure in that you have a disease associated with English nobility.
