Otherwise, it won't get hurt. I've trusted them (and they did do hand inspection when I had Fuji Xtra 1600). So I think the reason they decline hand inspections is that they know the film won't get hurt. When in doubt, they'll do it. But Tina's method can't hurt ... other than a little additonal weight. I rarely want that additional weight. My shoulders have taken a beating after all of these years of carrying equipment around.
