Who says impulse buying on the Bay is not rewarding. Must investigate and report back soon. Those little notches at the top and bottom of each frame show the user where to cut the film so that it will fit into a 35mm slide mount. They also made one which produces 4x4 cm frames for SuperSlides. It's not a Rolleikin, which uses 35mm film in portrait mode as you mention. Mine are for my Rolleicord and won't work with my 2.8F The box for one is labeled "Rolleicord 16 Exposure Kit" and the accompanying leather case is marked Rolleicord 16. I have no box for the one which I use for the pseudo-panoramas, but the leather case is marked Rolleicord Vb 24. These units come with a replacement frame counter for the camera body and a plastic mask for the ground glass and metal mask for the sportsfinder opening. I've heard that all of these were also made for some Rolleiflexes as well. This page from someone named "Alistair" has some further information: http://www.dmakos.com/square/manual/rolleikin/index.html :-) I completly agree with you regarding the unit which uses 35mm film. I had one for the Rolleiflex, used it once to take some portraits, sold it soon afterwards. Mt R8 with the 90mm works much better for portraits.
