Even Euros haven't stopped the rip-off. I still have a French bank
account from my time working there, I paid a German friend with a
Euro cheque and the bank took a ludicrous commission for the
"conversion" no less than a Franc to Deutchmark fee would have been.
Paypal is fine for international payments, I have certainly not found
better.
