It's interesting that panorama cameras have a small following still. In Australia we have some gear designs coming out of China now, <http://www.mainlinephoto.com.au/category20_1.htm> which is very much cheaper than Linhof, for example. It seems to me that 120 film based cameras are quite practical for this. You've really got to be dedicated to pursue sheet film options. Regarding the Chinese production, I suspect that this manufacturing base will continue to become more important for film cameras, (and perhaps film?) as the digital marketing tsunami continues its decimation of traditional choices. Hoppy, this bloke lives about 45 minutes drive from here. makes a pretty versatile camera too, 6x6 up to 6x17 with tilt and shift - if you are a nervous person, don't look at his prices, but, after all, they are hand made/specially modified http://www.gilde-kamera.de/en/4771.html (Camera) http://www.gilde-kamera.de/en/4798.HTML (Price list) Cheers Douglas G Hopkinson wrote: > If you're sending Graham out for panoramas, best arm him with a Fotoman or > something with at least 6x12cm or 6x17cm film. > > Cheers > Hoppy > > -----Original Message----- > Subject: [Leica] Hands up who thinks GeeBee should be forced to borrow > anXpan? > > I've offered before but he politely declined.
